Our Wastewater Treatment Plant

The operation of the wastewater treatment facility is governed by the DNR as to limits of discharge.  It undergoes constant monitoring of samples through a certified lab.  Required reports are kept to record flow, carbonaceous biochemical oxygen demand (CBOD), total suspended solids (TSS), chlorine (CL2), temp, acid/alkaline (PH) and dissolved oxgen (DO) of effluent water and sent to the DNR monthly.  The effluent water, the treated product leaving the plant, is released into our receiving stream, the Maquoketa River.
